Paris's little Japan
Around rue Sainte-Anne, ramen and udon restaurants, izakayas, Japanese grocers and pâtisseries follow one after another as far as rue des Petits-Champs, along with a few Korean places.
How to make the most of it
Come early, at lunchtime or in the evening, to avoid the queue. The grocers are perfect for taking home teas, condiments and snacks you will not find anywhere else.
A simple dinner after sightseeing
It is the ideal spot on evenings when you don't feel like searching: a bowl of ramen at the counter, then a walk back to the hotel.
